AlertMePolkCounty is the County’s emergency notification system. The long-term goal of Polk County Emergency Management is to improve public safety by finding an affordable way to deliver emergency alerts to residents, and to register everyone in the County. Emergency alerts are sent to residents via multiple methods (i.e., land-line phone, cell, text, email). Residents are able to register themselves and their family members.
Emergency alerts will include warnings for:
Flood, and Flash Flood
High Winds, Severe Thunderstorm, Winter Storm, Hurricane, Tropical Storm
HAZMAT (Chemical threat)
Crime Alerts (Sheriff’s Office)
Outreach Messages (non-emergency) will include:
Points of Distribution for food, water, and ice
Jury Duty Cancellation
You will need an e-mail address to create an account. After registration, please follow the instructions in the email sent to you by Blackboard to activate your account. You can provide up to 10 phone numbers and email addresses, and 5 physical addresses. If you need assistance, or do not have internet access, please call us at 936-327-6826 or come see us at 602 E Church Street, Suite 165, Livingston, Texas. We can register you in person or over the phone.

shelter information, and
